I’m getting new headshots taken this weekend.
Know what that means?
It means I have to develop a massive pimple right between my eyebrows. One of those giant, gross, red ones. Because why pay someone a lot of money to take closeup photos of your face WITHOUT a giant zit smack dab in the middle?
Obviously it can be edited out and everything, but it’s just the principle of it.
I’m relying on two stand out products to get this monster down to a manageable size before the shoot:
The Neutrogena Stubborn Acne Spot Gel works surprisingly well. I didn’t expect much from it. I actually bought it when I was working out of state and couldn’t find anywhere nearby that sold my longtime favorite, Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. Which, by the way, I just knocked over in the bathroom and it spilled into the sink. Which means the money I spent on it literally went down the drain. Always fun.
Anyway, back to what I was saying about the Rapid Clear Gel. It’s the first drugstore spot treatment I’ve found that genuinely does make a difference in the duration of a breakout. You dab on a thin layer of it and, as quickly as overnight, the pimple is way smaller than before- if not totally gone. I don’t get many breakouts, but for the odd pimple, it works wonders. The Drying Lotion is something I use more for pimple prevention. I just think it does a better job if you can catch a spot in it’s early stages. If I feel like a pimple is going to spring up, I’ll put some of it on at night, wash it off in the morning, and the spot is kept at bay.
Do you have any stand out pimple products? Let me know!
